Therefore, the year 2013 will be important for many of the students in India, who are aiming for technical and professional courses. Mostly for the engineering and medical aspirants, these changes have a lot of bearing.

One of the important alterations that have come up in 2012 is that in the engineering entrance exam. Most of the states of India have agreed upon the decision to conduct the JEE main examination. From 2013, there will not be any entrance examination in the state level. Instead, most of these institutions at the state level, apart from all the central institutions, will take up admissions based on the national test. But still, states like Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, etc are undecided over this format. Therefore, when the exams for these states are being considered, candidates need to be alert about the changes.

ISAT exam, which is a test for admission into various space engineering programs in Indian Institute of Space Technology in Kerala, is quite a promising prospect for candidates. The IIST offers courses on B Tech in aerospace engineering, avionics and physical sciences. This is a test open for all the eligible students in India. But the ISAT exam 2013 has been decided to be scrapped. Candidates will be admitted based on their performance in the JEE Mains exam of 2013. Therefore students who wish to pursue the aerospace engineering courses in IIST will have to sit for the JEE Mains, which is probably going to be held in the month of April 2013. Forms for this mains exam would be available from 8th November to 15th December 2013. Still, it is being stipulated that the candidates interested for admission in this institute, will have to get themselves registered online in the month of December. Further notifications will be coming out, for which the candidates need to be alert to know the changes.

Probably no Karnataka CET exam 2013

Another exam which is probably being shrouded under the cloud of uncertainty is that of Karnataka CET exam 2013. The state of Karnataka was previously reluctant to induct candidates in the different engineering colleges through the JEE Mains exam. But, recently, there has been an agreement for letting the KCET 2013 pass by. Candidates will be admitted based on their performance in the JEE Mains to be held in April 2013. Also, the medical admissions will be held through the qualifications in NEET 2013. This is the test which will let the students after their 12th standard pass, to take admissions in various medical colleges in the country.

SRMEEE exam 2013 no changes

SRMEEE exam 2013 is not going to face any changes. As for every year, SRM University in Tamil Nadu will be conducting its examination. Through this exam, students can take admissions in various streams of engineering. Paper mode of the SRMEEE exam 2013 would be held on 20th April while the computer based test would be from 20th to 21st April, 2013. Forms for this exam would be made available in the month of December, 2012.

Students in India have a variety of choices, when it comes to the matter of taking admission in engineering and medical courses. There are exams being held every year for them. They need to check any changes in these exams, more so, because of the new rules and regulations being formed in 2012 and 2013. It is prudent to be aware about these exams, rather than stay ignorant and miss out on important opportunities in life.
